The St. Anselm Social Justice Committee was formed in 2017 as a result of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Ninth General Synod Implementation Plan. The committee acts as an umbrella advisory group, and a ministry within itself, to help guide the parish in fulfilling its goal of advancing Social Justice through Catholic social teaching. The committee achieves this through coordinating with related parish social ministries and initiating its own projects advocating Social Justice as it relates to Faith Formation, Outreach & Charity, Global Solidarity, and Organizing for Change & Advocating for Justice.
